Every year tens of thousands of Iranians leave Iran to make asylum applications in Western countries. Iranian asylum seekers are the second largest group seeking refuge in the UK according to Home Office figures.

It is important to understand why so many people leave Iran, how the Islamic Republic’s government views and handles this and other important issues that the UK authorities must be aware of.

150 Years Under Putin Putin in Persian means the boot, and '150 Years under Putin' is the title of an article by Iranian satirist, Ebrahim Nabavi, meaning 150 years under the boot and with obvious reference to Putin's visit to Tehran.

There is a big question that why the President of Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad constantly talk about “destroying Israel” and “the appearance of twelfth Imam.” What is the relationship between these two concepts and the atomic bomb? Do the world leaders have to listen to Islamic Republic claiming that they are against the making of a nuclear bomb? This is a complex puzzle. Let’s put together this puzzle.
